Well, I'm not going to lie. It was extremely difficult for me to think of a single most interesting piece of information that I have stumbled upon while in college. What I will be presenting on is a theory that was discussed in my African American Studies 401 (Narratives of Race) class: Race is a social construction. This notion has colored my thoughts as I think about race in other classes and in other contexts and has change the way I see the world, to some extent. I will look at the ways that race as a social construction has manifested in several academic disciplines and reveals itself as the national logic of power and privilege.
